Ivelolharele Horse Boarding, Rescue and Retirement is owned and operated by Bruce and Jody,  with cooperation and help from Jody's three children, Paige, Joshua and Brooke!

Bruce was raised in the Dakotas with upwards of 60 head of horses at any one time.  He is a natural horseman, with years of experience in the equine field.  He brings his experience and background in training and equine health to this family endeavor.  Bruce is also employed full time as well as helps run the farm.

Jody has also been around horses most of her life.  She does most of the ground work with the horses, grooms all of them and provides most of the care, along side Bruce.  Jody works from home, allowing her more one on one time with the horses during the day.  She also has three children, a full-time job!

Bruce and Jody decided to start a non-profit horse rescue and retirement facility partly due to a niece, Kristin,  who was born with a heart condition.  After three surgeries she passed away at the tender age of nine years old.  Her dream was to own a horse, and after her last surgery her father was going to buy a pony for her...unfortunately, that did not happen.
Jody's son also has a heart condition, and has had open heart surgeries.   When Jody met Bruce, one of the dreams they shared was owning their own horse farm some day.

Soon after, they moved to what is now known as Ivelolharele!  They started out a boarding facility, but as Jody was walking through the pasture one day she could hear little Kristin's voice saying "I want a horse".
It was then that Bruce and Jody decided to open their hearts, and homes, to offer forever homes to neglected, abused and retired horses.  Ivelolharele Horse Boarding, Rescue and Retirement Facility was formed in memory of Kristin.

"As many horses I can save, there's another smile on her (Kristin) face in heaven.  We are planning on breeding my first horse next spring, hopefully a filly will be foaled and her name will be 'Kristin's Dream'  and will become the mascot of our rescue and retirement facility.  Our name Ivelolharele also is in memory of Bruce's mom  and dad, along with my parents (who are still here with us)"
