My name is BJ.  I am a 9 yr. old retired Thoroughbred race horse.  I raced 27 races, and placed three times in my racing years! I am now retired at Ivelolharele Boarding, Rescue and Retirement.  I am sponsored by a very special family here at the retirement facility.  I have my own stall, lots of pasture to graze, and I am handled on a daily basis.  I no longer have to worry about racing, or working hard...I now enjoy being pampered and just being a horse.  Thank you to Ivelolharele Boarding, Rescue and Retirement, and to my sponsor family.  They are all filled with love for me and I am happily retired.

My name is Tucker.  I am a 3 year old Paint Gelding.  I am pigeon toed, and could not go on long trail rides with my family anymore.
My family brought me to Ivelolharele Boarding, Rescue and Retirement where I met horses just like me. I became a part of a new family immediately.  I am retired here along with my other horse friends.  I'm the barn goof, as my new family says!  I have my own stall, a place to roam and have pasture whenever I want.  I have a new farrier that is working with me to help correct my hooves.  I love my new family, and they really love me.  I get treats almost every day, groomed every morning and played with by my new family.  The best thing is the candy canes!!!!  The facility is beautiful, the autumn walks are so pretty, and now with winter fast approaching, the snow will be so fun to play in!  Thank you to my family for bringing me here.
I have a forever home with my new family.

***Tuck is available for sponsorship
Tucker really doesn't need any supplements at all.  He only needs farrier work every 6-8 weeks to help correct his front hooves.  He also owes his "family" a new cordless phone, two halters, one lead rope, and a pair of gloves......he is also in need of a supply of rootbeer for the summer!

My name is Taffy.
I am a 24 yr old Palomino Quarter Horse.  I have arthritis and have come to Ivelolharele Boarding, Rescue and Retirement to be forever home.  I am so happy to be here....I get the royal treatment.  On nice days I wander around my new family's yard and greet everyone that comes here.  I get to lay and bathe in the sun where ever I want. I am pampered on a daily basis, and have a very big and warm stall.   I get medicine everyday for my arthritis and get a massage.  On cold nights I get blanketed to keep my body warm.  My new family is very special to me, and I am very special to them.
I am now forever home and forever safe.

Our newecomers: Two minature paint stallions, Parker and Heart, were donated to our facility in October 2006.  Parker and Heart's owners were moving and needed to find a home for these two little guys.  They have both been adopted by my children.  Both are trained to ride....Parker and Heart are enjoying a life of love, green pastures, and lots of fun with their kids!

Jake is a 13 yr old Quarter Horse originally from Montana.  Jake needed a home and was brought to us in November 2006.  Jake is enjoying trail rides, green pastures, and lots of love.

Pics coming soon!

Chester, is a 5 yr old miniature donkey.  Chester has become Taffy's sidekick.  The two of them enjoy the day roaming around the yard.  Chester is a clown to have around.  He has become our 6 am alarm clock!  Chester loves children, the mailman, and the UPS man!  Chester has a bell around his neck so we always know where he is at.

Wizard, (aka Ozzie), is a 17 yr old Appy/TB cross with moonblindness and the start of arthritis in his knees.  Wizard is a great boy!  Loves skittles, light bareback riding, and is a complete joy to have at our facility.  Wizard loves to scratch your back, you just need to ask him!  Wizard will be started on the Nitro-oxide supplement to help with his arthritis.

***Wizard is available for sponsorship:

Wizard is a wonderful boy, and continues to ride!  He is doing very well with Aspirinease.  This spring we will have to put ointment to help with any irritation.  Wizard is also in need of a new flymask.

Harry, is a 13 yr old Warmblood, retired jumper.  Harry came to us from Illionois.  He stands just over 16 hands, and is big lover.  Harry has been lunging, and can go on light trail rides.  He's a very big boy, but has a very big heart.  He loves kids and enjoys apples.

Harry is doing very well!  We will be starting him on a joint supplement just to keep those "jumping" bones healthy.

Rattle is a 19 yr old Mustang.  Rattle is our newest addition to our retirement center.  He is retired here in loving memory of his owner.  Rattle is another very sweet boy.  He knows all his ground manners, but hasn't been under saddle much.  We will be working with Rattle and hopefully have him under saddle very soon.

***UPDATE***
On February 7, 2008 we lost a very special friend, Rattle our 19 yr old Mustang that can to retire with us in October suffered a stroke and passed away.  It was the most difficult thing I have ever had to dealt with.  Ratty was the first horse I ever lost, and it still pains me to think about that night.  Ratty died on his own, but did not die alone.   He laid his head in my lap, and I let him know that it was ok, he needed to run with the mustangs once again.  He died peacefully and did not suffer.  He is greatly missed by all of us, and especially his buddy, Wizard.
Rattle's memorial upcoming.

We have two different retirement programs.  Retirement fees depend on the retired horse.  For information on retiring horses and fees, please contact us at ivelolharleboarding@yahoo.com.
Deis is a 13 year old Mountain Pleasure horse, he was diagnosed a year ago with DSLD.  Desi is another big sweetheart.  Desi has been  started on Nitric-oxide and Nutro-wound and his DSLD has stabilized,  and hoping for more positive results!  Desi has become  our little weanling's babysitter.  The two of them are a quite  a pair!

DSLD
Supplements:  Nitric-oxide and Nutrowound
Cost:  $260 every three months
These supplements seem to be working very well for Desi.  Its the closest thing we have found (along with DSLD research crew), to stablize and actually repair the ligaments and tendons that DSLD affects.  Desi is doing wonderful with these supplements and we really want to continue with them.  Desi will be ultrasounded this summer to see how well the supplements are helping.
